What Plus gives you
Unlimited Smart practice in every language: the test that asks most about the words you get wrong. Everyone can try ten Smart practice questions free in each language.
Everything else stays free without Plus: the 100 words, scenes, flashcards, drills, pocket cards and trip guides.
Prices
| Plan | Price | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Trip pass | US$9, once | Plus for 60 days. It does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. If you already have Plus, the 60 days are added to the end. |
| Plus for a year | US$29 a year | Plus for a year, renewed automatically each year on the same date until you cancel. |
Prices are set in US dollars, and checkout may show them in your own currency. Depending on where you live, VAT, GST or sales tax may be added on top. Checkout shows the full total, tax included, before you pay.
If we change the price of the yearly plan, we will email you at least 30 days before your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you wish.
Paying
Plus is sold to you by Stripe, through its Link service, as the merchant of record. That means Stripe is the seller on the payment: it takes the payment, collects and pays any VAT, GST or sales tax due where you live, emails your receipt, and helps with questions about a charge. We never see or store your card number.
You can also see and manage your Plus purchases at link.com, using the email you paid with.
Stripe cannot sell Plus to people in a few countries, including mainland China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba and Syria. Everything free on Hundred Words still works there.
You need to be signed in to buy Plus, so it is linked to your account on every device.
Cancelling the yearly plan
You can cancel at any time, in a couple of taps: open your account page and choose "Receipts, card and cancelling". You can also email us and we will do it for you.
When you cancel, you keep Plus until the end of the year you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
Deleting your account also cancels the yearly plan.
Refunds: 14 days, no questions
If you are not happy, email us within 14 days of any payment, including a yearly renewal, and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually arrive in 5 to 10 days, depending on your bank.
After 14 days, we do not refund part-used time, except where the law says we must, or where Plus did not work because of a fault on our side.
Stripe, as the seller, may also refund a payment within 60 days in some cases, for example where your local law gives you a cooling-off period.
This promise is on top of your legal rights. Under UK and EU law, digital content that starts straight away normally has no 14-day cancellation right, so this gives you more than the law does.
If something goes wrong
If a payment goes through but Plus does not switch on within a few minutes, email us with the email address you signed in with, and we will sort it out the same day where we can.
