Your data, your allergies and how Plus payments work

A clear privacy policy for UK and EU visitors, a page to download or delete your data, a tick box before we keep any allergies, and a plain page on Plus prices, cancelling and refunds.

What you can do now

  • Signed-in people have a new account page: see what we keep, download it as one file, or delete your account and everything linked to it straight away.
  • A trip guide only keeps your allergies if you tick a box to say so, because allergies are health information. You can delete a guide, allergies and all, from the bottom of its page.
  • The privacy policy now says what we keep, why, the legal reason, who else handles it, where it is stored, how long we keep it, and how to use your rights or complain.
  • Fonts and the Chinese character animations now come from our own server, so reading the site no longer sends your IP address to Google or other networks.
  • A new page explains Plus: US$9 for a 60-day trip pass or US$29 a year, how the yearly plan renews, how to cancel in two taps, and a full refund within 14 days of any payment, no questions asked.

Why we made this change

You should know what happens to your data and your money before you trust a site with either, and be able to take both back easily.
